My First Garden
My Grandpa Black would have been proud of me for putting forth the effort to grow something. I remember he built his very own green house, and he used to start seedlings in every coffee tin, cup or refurbished plastic bottle, etc. he would come across. As a child I was never very interested in his hobby as a horticulturist. Now, as I reminisce, I wish I had taken an interest in gardening during those years that he could have given me instruction.
I am so happy that my husband and I finally quit worrying about doing something wrong, and we just did it. We followed some simple instructions from the website called: SquareFoodGardening.org and made a trip to our friendly Home Depot to get the supplies. It’s so exciting seeing the seedlings finally emerging from the soil.
